( google map ) Hello! I pretty much spend my life doing dog rescue. Mastiffs mostly… anyway, one of my three adopted dogs and my current foster dog have special dietary needs. My big guy has an autoimmune disease that attacks his muscles… especially his chewing muscles and he has limited jaw function and an enlarged esophagus that makes him prone to aspiration/choking, so I make my own “wet” food to mix with the dry. They all get it, but I started doing it for him. He is the brown dog in the photos – you can see how bony his head is. He is a super happy loving boy but he was on a high dose of Prednisone there so wasn’t feeling the best. We keep him on pain meds and he is doing much better now. The foster dog is an older very scared Mastiff – she is fairly tragic. Aggie was running feral and was trapped in Summit County. She is almost done with heartworm treatment and we will be addressing mammary tumors after that. All four of her canine teeth are broken to some degree and she has clearly suffered some abuse. She has been her for two months and I have never heard her bark or seen her tail wag. Aggie is learning to enjoy being petted and scratched, so I am hopeful that one day I will get to see those things. I am not sure what’s going on with her. Poor appetite (But just loves freeze dried treats made from venison organs)… could be her teeth too… they are pretty bad. She also has some allergies, patchy skin on her back etc… I am wondering if that has anything to do with her GI issues (she passes mucus). My main concern is putting some weight on her as she has remained too thin and I would like to eliminate grains to see if that will help. She is the blue/gray dog in the photos – taken at the vet’s office. Looking for freezer cleanouts from hunters and farmers as well as unwanted meats such as organs, tongue etc from livestock or game. Freezer burned or refrozen is fine as long as it didn’t actually spoil. I will pick up pretty much anywhere in central or Eastern Ohio… I live near the Coshocton/Tuscarawas County line, but my husband drives to Honda in Marysville from here almost every day and could pick up on his way home. Plus I am willing to drive. If you read this far, thank you! do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers post id: 6793019984
